ShootingSTAR

Our new transition program between CanSkate and Rising Stars, Shooting Stars is for those who have a specific interest in figure skating.  Skaters will continue to learn fundamental skating skills and be assessed in the CanSkate program while also being introduced to basic figure skating.  Intended for CanSkate levels 2 to 4, skaters will explore figure skating skills as well as music and movement activities.  In this 45-minute program, instruction is provided by a certified figure skating coach and skaters will also have the opportunity to practice independently under the supervision of a program assistant.  All skaters registered for the full season will have the opportunity to showcase their skills during our annual ice show in March.  

CSA-approved helmets and mittens/gloves are required, and skates must provide proper fit and support.   Figure Skates are suggested but are NOT mandatory.
